[Opinions] Susannah
I had a really lovely weekend with my mother. Her name is Suzanne. We visited some gardens and she really opened up to me more than she has in over a decade. We really reconnected. During one of our discussions, after much wine drinking, I told her I was going to try to have children when I am 34-36 years old. She said not to take forever because she wouldn't live forever (she's only 51). Anyway, I asked her if she would like having a granddaughter named Susannah named after her, and she started to cry. Well, that pretty much sealed the deal. So, Susannah Ruth is in my number 1 spot now. Just wanted to share this new development in my life. :)

Susannah Ruth is a wonderful name! And even if she does die young, she'll know what's going to happen: that should be comforting.Lucky you, by the way. I was brought up to believe that Beatrice is an inconvenient name, always getting shortened to nasty things like Beattie and Beat! My mother went by Bea whenever she could, but some people just didn't follow her lead. I really wanted to use her name when I had children, and did; but if she'd been alive at the time she'd never have let me get away with it.

Susannah is nice, but I prefer it without the H.I think she has plenty of time when she is 51.

That is such a sweet story! A perfect one for your child to remember. I was thinking about how I love the name Susanna today and how it isn't used enough. And it goes perfectly with Ruth!
