[Opinions] Vivian/Vivien/Vivienne
If you had to predict the popularity of Vivian/Vivien/Vivienne over the next 10 yrs or so...would you expect it to rise considerably? I.e. similar to Ella, Olivia, Sophia, or Isabella? Or do you see it as a slower starter? My heart sank when the Jolie-Pitts used it. I was selfishly hoping it would remain under the radar. What do you think? Thanks!

It's beautiful. I can see it becoming more popular, but I don't think it will become quite as popular as Olivia, Sophia, and Isabella. Then again, you never know. It's similar to names that are popular these days, such as Lillian and Evelyn, so that's why I think it will get more popular. Also, its popularity has been rising steadily for a while now. It won't surprise me if it enters the top 30 eventually. I don't know about the top 10, though.

I do think it will rise considerably over the next ten years. Even putting the celebrity endorsement from the Jolie-Pitts aside, Vivien and its nicknames are similar in sound and feel to Lillian, Olivia, Evelyn, and their nicknames, so I can see Vivien riding up the charts on their coat tails as parents look for something reminiscent of the three but less popular. For what it's worth, I love the name and I was also dismayed when Brangelina used Vivienne. Vivien is my favorite spelling followed by Vivian and, distantly, Vivienne.

I don't think the popularity will increase considerably. I think Vivienne is the nicest spelling as it's more feminine but if any of them are likely to become popular I think it's Vivienne.

I predict it will get very popular, like Sophia and Isabella. It went from not in the 1000 and jumped to like the 500's in one year. And I'm meeting more and more little ones lately.

I see Vivienne rising, definately. Whether Vivian / Vivien will follow, perhaps, but not as much as Vivienne. I love it and think it's stunning.I prefer Vivien - it's strong, sophisticated and more reserved than Vivienne, which to me is quite floaty and frilly. And Vivien retains the feminine feel that Vivian somewhat loses with the 'a'. Yeah, Vivien is gorgeous.

I see a slight rise, but not to the ranks of Ella or Isabella and the like.
I do prefer Vivienne, but even if there were to be a rise, I see it being more with Vivian unfortunately.

I used to love Vivien, but now I much prefer Vivienne (nothing to do with Jolie). It's very pretty and feminine. :)
