[Opinions] Maia
I'm not usually one for short simple names, but Maia is growing on me. Pronounced "MY uh."Do you prefer another spelling, i.e. Mya?
Do you know any Maias?
What do you think of the combo Maia Wren Luisa?
Would you normally pronouce Maia as "MAY uh"?
Do you prefer the pronunciation "MAYuh"?
TIA xx

I think Maia, with *this* spelling, is a lovely name. However, I have a soft spot for the Basque version of Magdalene, which is Maialen (MY-uh-len). I think this is why I liked Maia Wren when I first heard it.Maia, Wren, and Luisa are all great names, but they don't all go together in a three-name combo. Maia Wren and Maia Luisa are perfectly acceptable, but Wren doesn't really go with Luisa, imo (mixing genres).

I prefer the spelling Maia.
I know three "MY uh"s. Maija is 28, Maya is 14 and Maya (guessing on this spelling) is 2 years old.
Maia Wren Luisa flows well. I despise Wren, but that's just personal taste.
I would pronounce Maia as "MY uh".
I dislike the pronounciation May uh.

My pref is Maya. I've met Jpns. and foreign and mixed ones spelled Maya, Mya and Maia respectively. May-uh doesn't sound right to me. I'd automaticaula go with ma-ya or my-uh.
Maya and Maia can both have kanji for them.

No. Maia is the best. Maya and Maja are nice too, but I really don't like the other spellings. Mya just seems sort of childish and dumbed down.10 million. And that's only a slight exagerration. Every second girl here is called Maya (most common spelling, but I've seen others). Canada as well. I started keeping count cause I met so many of them and one day I heard it something like 9 times out and about at kids places. However I've never met one in Australia.Good flow. Maia Wren would make a cute occasional double nn. Wren spunks things up and Luisa is a nice addition too. Thumbs up. eminds me a little of my own Maia combo - Elodie Maia Soleil.No.No.

I like Maia. Only this spelling- though I don't mind Maya, I don't think it's nearly as pretty as Maia. Mya bothers me a lot.I know a two-year-old named Mya. And a two-year-old named Kya, which is quite similar. I haven't met any Maias with that spelling, however.I would pronounce it as "MY-uh."

I like it, spelled Maia, Maja, or Maya. I've only met one Maja, who was from Germany and was born about 1972. I don't like the spelling Mya, or any other spellings.
The combo is fine. I would never say "MAY-a" for Maia and I don't like the sound of it very much. If I wanted it to be "MAY-a" I'd spell it Meia or Meya.

I like Maia quite a bit. Very sweet, pretty, and spring-like.Do you prefer another spelling, i.e. Mya? Nope, I'm a Maia lover. I've only seen Maya and Mya IRL, though.
Do you know any Maias? I know a Maya.
What do you think of the combo Maia Wren Luisa? It's fine. I like the sound of it more than I like the way it looks, if that makes any sense. The two four-letter names in a row make it look...lopsided or something.
Would you normally pronouce Maia as "MAY uh"? No, strictly MY-ə.
Do you prefer the pronunciation "MAYuh"? No, I don't like it at all.

I actually do like Maia. It's the only spelling I do care for (it's the classic one). I only know one Myah (dd's friend) but that's about it. I think Maia Wren Luisa is lovely. MAY-uh? Nope. I wouldn't intuitively pronounce it that way nor do I care for it.

I really like Maia. I definitely prefer Maia to any other spelling. Maia Wren Luisa is nice, but I kind of prefer Maia Luisa Wren. I would not pronounce it MAY-uh. I definitely prefer MY-uh to MAY-uh.

Do you prefer another spelling, i.e. Mya? I like Maia and Maiya
Do you know any Maias? I know a Mya, a Maia, and a Maiya. They're all in middle school.
What do you think of the combo Maia Wren Luisa? It's not really my style, but I like it.
Would you normally pronouce Maia as "MAY uh"? No, the Maia I know says MY uh so to me its hard to think of it as MAY uh.
Do you prefer the pronunciation "MAYuh"? No, I like MY uh better. MAY uh's still pretty nice, though.

I love the name Maia, particularly when it's spelled Maya.
I don't know anybody with the first name Maia or Maya or Mya, but I do know a girl named Shelby Maia.
I love the combo Maia Wren Luisa. It flows really well and is nicely balanced.
No, I would automatically say "MY-ah", and I greatly prefer it pronounced "MY-ah".

I really like Maia, and I definitely prefer it to Maya.I'm only personally acquainted with one Maia (who goes by Spritz), though I know of one or two others.I actually really like Maia Wren Luisa, though I'm not especially fond of Wren. I love the cadence of the combination.I pronounce Maia "MY-uh," and I strongly prefer that pronunciation to "MAY-uh."

I'm not a major fan, but I like it. For certain I wouldn't say MAY-uh, and I think the spelling Maia is best. Don't know anyone with this name, though.I definitely like Wren a lot. The full combo doesn't seem to flow all that well, however. Instead of Wren, I think a two-syllable name might be better in the middle. Either that, or remove one of the names: Maia Wren or Maia Luisa. I generally prefer the spelling Louisa, but I'll admit Luisa fits well with Maia.
