[Opinions] Genevieve?
Hi, by the way :) I haven't been here for a while.I was wondering- What do you think of Genevieve? How do you personally pronounce it? And with that question, where are you from? (You don't have to answer that:) )Thanks:)P.S.- Lilah Genevieve?

I like it. Though it somewhat reminds me of the dog from Madeline, it also reminds me of my best friend in second grade. I pronounce it the "French" way, with a soft G. And I'm from New England. I think it's great as a middle name for Lilah.~~she came in through the bathroom window~~

I absolutely love Geneviève! It's one of my favourite names. I say it the French way. I am from Canada, although most Canadians would say it 'jen-a-veev.' Lilah Genevieve is really cute! Deep down I love Genevieve as a first name, but I know people here would never ever pronounce it correctly, and so I've resigned to loving it as a middle name. Lilah sounds beautiful with it.Mika

I pronounce it Jen-uh-veev. I'm from the East Coast of the USA.Lilah Genevieve is nice, I especially like this because I don't like Genevieve as a fn.

I say it like Jenna-veeveI'm from West Virginia, but that doesn't really apply to how I say it because I've heard it all different ways here.

I love the name, but here in the US, the pronunciation is awful. I much prefer the French pronunciation.

I love the name Genevieve. It's an incredibly beautiful name. I pronounce it 'zhe-ne-VYEV', and I'm from Finland. Lilah Genevieve is pretty. The combo could be better, though, but it's OK.

Hi
I don't like Genevieve too much because it's the same as Gwenhwyfar (and others) for me from "The Mists of Avalon". And I don't like her character. :-)
I pronounce it jen-e-VEEV and I'm from germany. I had 5 years of french at school, if that helps.
Lilah Genevieve is ok, but as I said, I don't like Genevieve.

That is the name of my niece (Genevieve Joann) and I love it! I'm from California and we pronounce it Jenna-Veev. The nickname that we gave her is Gi-Gi. :)

Hi Brogan, it's nice to see you back! :)I like Genevieve but sometimes it just seems so long and pretentious, especially as a first name, that's why a lot of people shorten it to Gen or Jenny or even Eve. As a middle name it's nice, if you can find a name that suits it. I'm from New England in the USA and I pronounce it jen-eh-veev.
I think Lilah Genevieve sounds nice, also I've always like the combo Genevieve Louise. I don't know if I could ever use it though, I also like it's counterparts Guinevere and Gwyndolen better, Jennifer and Winifred also come from this group of names. :)

I pronounce it Zhon-VEE-ev, because I had French in college and we all picked French names to use for class. But most people around here (mid-US) would say Jen-e-VEEV.I love this name. I think it's very pretty and under-used.Edited: forgot to add opinion :o)
