Lucy definitely. It's a fave name of mine because it's classic, short, sweet and pretty.

Lucy. I tend to go for the option with more consonant sounds. Lucy simply has more complexity and interest than Anna.

I like Lucy as a single name but I really like Anna better as a name because you can pair it up with a bunch of names and do combo names and double names. Annasofia, Annamaria, Anneliese.

Lucy. I've never been a big fan of Anna. It's unobjectionable, and better than Ann or Anne, but that's about it. Lucy is so cute.

I like both, but I prefer Lucy because it's fresher and more memorable.

AnnaAnna is perfectly modest, dignified, classic, spellable ... and I've never met an Anna I didn't like.Lucy is the screaming brat in the Peanuts strip, to me, and I hate the sound LOOSY and all its vague connotations.

I like Lucy better. It sounds kinder and more beautiful. I'm kind of sick of Anna... but it's my own name, so I suppose that'd be why.

Anna - my daughter's name. We love it for it's simplicity. Lucy is also a wonderful choice.

Hm. I like the sound of Lucy better than the sound of Anna, I think. But it irks be that Lucy is so popular right now. Anna feels much less trendy. So even though I like Lucy better, I'd be more excited about a little Anna.

Overall, I prefer the sound of Anna better, however, Lucy seems more fresh at the moment so I'd go with that.

I like both of them, but I think I slightly prefer Anna. They are both very sweet and gentle names though.

Tough call. I'd have to give it to Anna for endurance sake -- I think it will wear better over time. But there's nothing wrong with Lucy. I'm grasping at straws to find some way of distinguishing these lovely classics. You can't go wrong with either one.

I prefer Anna, although I'm biased as it's my name ;)

I prefer Anna. I think it's more timeless and ages better. Lucy sounds quite nicknamey and childish, whereas Anna could be a person of any age. I also like the fact that it's very international.

Tough one because I like both names pretty equally! I think if I had to choose one to name my daughter I'd probably choose Anna because it has a bit more sweetness to my ears. Both are gorgeous classic names though! :)

LucyI know an Anna and a Lucy and the Anna is self-centred and bitchy and the Lucy is kind-hearted and funnyweird reason i know, but it's my reason

I prefer Lucy even though I generally like it better as a nickname. Anna seems bland to me. Lucy is more interesting.

Lucy. Anna is nice, but that's all it is: nice. It's forgettable. Lucy, on the other hand, is "brighter." It has more spark.
