I have just fallen in love with this name after seeing the movie 'My Summer of Love'

strange character, beautiful name! lol I'd never heard of it before the movie though - how about ya'll?

A little girl (well she'd complain if I'd say little ;-), she's 7-ish) is called that and I really like it. It makes be think of this annoying little child witch can be really sweet sometimes.
I have to say that her name is spelled Tamsyn thoughm not Tamsin.

I quite like Tamsin, though I'd probably never use it (because my ex is Thomas, lol), partly because of the likely nn Tammy, which I greatly dislike. But it's a sweet name with a "British feel" to it, I think. lol

BTW, I want to rent "Summer of Love" soon, it looks very good. :)

I prefer Tamsyn. Theres an Australian Olympic Athlete named Tamsyn Lewis. :)

Tamsin was a board favorite a while back

Its okay, not that's it. I prfer it as a nickname for Thomasina. Btw- capitals are your friend.

I'm not attacking you - at all. I was merely stating the name had been a board favorite in the past - and that you not using capitals was making it hard to read.

a) The archives are very easy to search.
b) Siri didn't say anything about the archives, she was asking you to type correctly.

I actually don't think it has a nice sound at all. Although Tammy would be nice for short. Another reason I don't like it is because I knew a really nasty girl with that name, although she spelt hers Tamsyn.

Isn't it amazing how people affect what we think of names?

Like, I understand where you're coming from because I feel the same way about Heather, Jordan and Summer.

That'd make for a fascinating psychology paper, I think: 'How Personality Affects Names'

Google for it, you'll find tons of papers on how names affect perceptions.

yes, that is an odd name for two separate people to contemplate lol

btw, about your signature - what fanfic do you read?

I love reading horrible Harry Potter fanfic because you can find the SILLIEST names in them! And they're great as example of how not to write lol
