I fell for the name Nyah (NIE-uh) after I watched Mission Impossible II. Thandie Newton's character is named Nyah.

It's a big help.
I think I read that Thandie Newton is half Nigerian. Nia / Nyah is Eastern African, not Western, but still. It gives me more confidence that she would have corrected it. That may not be fair, but at least that's how I'm going to rationalize it. :-P
