[Opinions] Re: Sidney
Sidney has always felt very masculine to me. I like the name. As far as gender goes, it's not really the spelling change from "i" to "y" itself but more the fact that Sydney is a city that helps me perceive it as slightly more feminine. I'm used to my country and cities and ships and such being referred to as "she" and "her", so a place name like Sydney does feel more feminine than masculine in my mind. Regardless of spelling, though, the sound of Sidney/Sydney, on first impression, is prominently in the masculine column for me.
