Amanda: I love it, always have. So pretty but not fancy. I knew several growing up and only one was regularly called Mandy. She stopped going by it when she got older.Amandine: I associate this with green beans because at a restaurant where I used to work green beans amandine were a regular vegetable of the day.Amy: As a nickname for Amanda I think it's doable but a stretch. I don't think Amanda needs a nn really, and Amy for Amanda sounds like hedging your bets: "I love the name Amy but it seems so short, so we'll name her Amanda and call her Amy."
