[Opinions] Asenath
I came across this name in a Lovecraft story, apparently it's a minor Biblical character. I find it cool, though I wouldn't use it on a child, but I think it would work on a pet or character or as an internet moniker. It's Osnat in modern Hebrew, which I don't like the sound of.It's a female name, btw.

It has a very unpleasant sound. Like asinine only more so.

I was thinking this too-- very obvious teasing potential, unfortunately,

It's definitely interesting, but...hmm, no, I don't find it attractive. Sounds like "a senator".

It's interesting; unusual-looking name. Not surprised it's in Lovecraft, it does have a vaguely gothic feel. It popped up quite often in 19th-century births here, but gradually died out and I don't think it's been used since the 1950s. I always assumed it was one of those 'open the Bible at random and pick one' sort of names.
