I come from a long line of women from Southern Illinois with the middle name Paralee. I myself love my middle name because it is so unique. If I had been blessed with a daughter I would have passed it down to her.

Para means 'against' in various languages, and Lee comes from the word leah meaning 'clearing', so it MIGHT mean 'against the clearing'.

Paralee could mean "having lots of money" (based on Greek or Turkish).
