[Opinions] Kay
What do you think of the name Kay?I've always sort of despised it but after catching it "in the right light" earlier I'm thinking it could be a really sweet first name.

I'm late to comment, but I've always found Kay elegant. :)

Thanks everyone!I'm surprised the reaction was as positive as it is! I expected a lot more old lady comments, not that I'm bothered by it.I do appreciate your all's responses. Alas, I have a niece named Kacey and will only be able to love Kay as a GP.

I like how it sounds, but I know at least four old ladies named Kay so it's always seemed very old-lady-ish. I much prefer Fay.

It's sort of okay but I think that it should only be a nickname for Katherine.

It has definitely been growing on me lately! I would be more likely to use it as a first name. As a middle name, it sounds a bit filler to me, like you couldn't think of a middle name, so you were just like, let's just use Kay.

I hate it! It's the name of my spiteful/nasty sister in law :(I much prefer May and Faye.

love it.Soft, sweet and classic.

It's nice and neat. I could like it, too. It doesn't really strike me, but it's better than May or Fay.

It's ok, but has always felt too short and similar to "key" to me.

I think it's sweet. It's an old name, but I think it could use a comeback. It's May with a little kick.

It used to be one of my favourite names when I was a little girl. I don't love it anymore but I do still think it's sweet.

I know a couple Kays from work, and my cousin Karen was called Kay a couple of times. I like it better as a nn.
