[Opinions] Paige
I remember really liking this name when I was a lot younger but I saw it on someone today and I don't know, it just seems kind of bland now. Not a bad name at all, just not much pizazz. It's kind of cute though at the same time. Thoughts?

It sounds really boring. And I hope no one pairs it with the last name of Turner.

I never liked it that much, it makes me think of "page".

I know of a Paige whose ln is Knight; unfortunately her mn is Starry. It seems to be the preserve of young, naive parents.

It's growing on me. I wouldn't use it but I reckon that I like it =)

Paige was really big in the 90s and to me it is sort of dated. Its on the same level as Paisley. Lots of Paisleys too.

I think I like it. I don't know what it is about this name that makes me so indecisive, but I've never been able to decide whether I really like it or really don't like it! Right now I'm in the mood to really like it.

It's a little bit dated, but I like it a lot. It's a one-syllable name that's easy to remember.

I find this name a little odd because it's an everyday word, like a page out of a book. I don't really understand how it became such a common name. It's alright, I suppose. It's just weird, and like you said...bland. I have a feeling that years and years from now when the name is dated and every Paige is in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, people will start to find this name ugly because it won't be cool and trendy anymore and it has nothing else to fall back on.

There are plenty of other word names that seem normal though. Mark for example.

Honestly, Mark has always struck me as weird too for the same reason lol

Me too. Every time I meet one, I think why, why why?!

I want to like Paige. I've tried for years. I've just never been able to get the picture of a knight's errand boy out of my head. It's really a servant, right? Just not the mental picture I like to evoke in a name. Sorry. On the other hand, "Newsroom" on HBO is forcing me to like the name Sloane for a woman. D*mn it. I hate it when my prejudices are broken down.

I lurrrve "Newsroom."I like Sloane!! The character, not the name.

I've always had good associations with girls named Paige. It never really stuck out to me but then I read Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult. The protagonist is named Paige and her dad said he really wanted to name her that because it would be giving his child a blank page on which to write her life, or something to that effect. i thought it was cool and I liked the character. I like other names far more, so I'd never use it but it's still a nice name
