[Opinions] Avon and Avalon
I have come across these names before. Avon as male name, Avalon as female. Have the same kind of feel to them, not sure of how I feel about them, wdyt?

Avon reminds me of the makeup company, so I can't see it as a male name, and for girls is similar to Channel or Dior. Avalon is okay for a female name.

Avon reminds me of the obvious cosmetics connection.Avalon is one of my oldest favorites, going all the way back to middle school. It's not one of my current top names, but I still like it. I like the King Arthur connection and I think it's pretty without screaming super girly.

I don't care for Avon, all I can think of is the makeup brand. I love Avalon, though..it's in high contention for the mn spot should I ever have another girl.

Since Avon is a make-up company here, I can't see it as a name on a girl or boy. Avalon is okay. I don't mind it, actually. I don't love it, but it's kind of nice. Has some of the look of Ava but the n ending makes it less frilly than a lot of girls names.

I used Avon as a mn in a Shakespearean themed poll once: Beatrice Avon. I'm rather taken with it. So as a male name? I can't see it. The American company that sells makeup just won't let me think of it as a fn, let alone a male one. Avalon is easier to see as a fn, and I agree it feels more feminine. I've used it in combos before, just not as a fn. I've got Piper Avalon.

I love them both. I like the nickname Ava for a girl, too.
I can see Avon on a girl, though, and Avalon on a boy, so they're both unisex for me.
