I like Lorelei. Not sure if I'd ever use it, but I recently came around to liking it. Before that, I never really spared it much thought. It doesn't remind me of the Gilmore Girls because I never watched that show.

I initially thought it was lor-uh-LAY, which I really liked. I learned later that it's lor-uh-LIE, and I'm pretty sad. I liked it better my way.

I don't like it so much. We went on a school residential trip to Germany - around where the Lorelei rock is located - and the teacher from a school defined it as 'a sort of fairy'. Which is a nice image but I don't even care for the sound of the name.

I just can't imagine ever using this name because I always think of the Gilmore Girls.
Before that, it was too sing-songy for me.
