[Facts] Lysiane
This is a French name that I encountered recently. It was borne by one of the granddaughters of French actress Sarah Bernhardt. Does anyone know the meaning?I think it might be related to the Dutch name Lysanne, though I'm unsure if it is.

French sites seem to think it's a contraction of Elisabeth and Anne. According to the INSEE data, it started to be used as a full name in the 1920s and was most common in the 1950s.

Well, there's this... http://www.behindthename.com/submit/name/lysia
It might be an elaboration of Lysia. Or there's this http://www.behindthename.com/name/luciana - it might have something to do with that.
