[Opinions] Re: Linnea or Talia?
in reply to a message by Beth
Talia. Though I do prefer Thalia. It feels more classic and I really like the Muse association. I also taught a Linnea a couple years ago, and I was surprised (since I thought I liked the name) that I found that the sound became irksome over time. To me it began to sound very sharp. I think Talia/Thalia will stand up better in the long run.

Yes, Linnea is pretty on paper, but I can't imagine saying, calling it out, a hundred times a day ( for the first five years). Linn or Lynn is a nice nickname, but I agree, the whole name feels a bit sharp to me, too. But very pretty. I think Talia is softer.
