[Opinions] Triplets
There was an article in our provincial paper today, about newborn triplets.
The story was mostly about upgrades in the neonatal unit of the hospital where they were born-these babies were 8 weeks premature, and alarmingly tiny. They are doing well though, still in hospital but should go home soon. So, two girls and a boy;the girls are Hailey and Paisley, the boy is Jack. Paisley wouldn't be my choice, it's all cloth and wall-paper pattern to me, but it's not a bad name at all, and goes nicely with Hailey.and Jack is a fine name.

Hailey is the one I'd drop. It seems very dated, and the i spelling instead of the more usual y will cost her a lifetime of explanations.Paisley is very textile, and also geographical which I tend to dislike, but I love the design and for some reason Paisley has always been a gp of mine. Jack ... I'd prefer it as a nn for John, but that doesn't much work any more, so it'd be a nn for Jackson if anything, I suppose. Which is nms. So, OK. If I could, I'd change Hailey to something retro like Jack but recognisable like Paisley. Paisley, Sally and Jack?

I like Jack but couldn't care less about the other two. Hailey and Paisley are trendy here in the US and have all sorts of crazy spellings (Hayly, Paizlee, etc)
