[Opinions] Penelope or Eleanor?
Which do you prefer and does it change your opinion if the nn would be Nell sometimes Nellie?

Nell could be a nn for either Penelope or Eleanor, so I would choose the name I like best. Although Penelope isn't bad, Eleanor has a timeless elegance about it that I love.

Eleanor. It's a steadier, more classic name that Penelope & Nell/Nellie is already traditionally associated with it. IMO, Penelope is a hipster name that I think will go out of style quickly. For the record, I do like them both, and LOVE Nell as a nn!

doublePenelope Penelope Penelope. It's awesome. And Penny is great.

Eleanor sounds softer and prettier to me. I don't mind Penelope; I just wouldn't use it myself -- especially because of the 'pee' ending. Re: Nell, eh, it doesn't make a difference in this situation.

Eleanor. The Kardashians ruined Penelope for me.

Eleanor all the way. I like Penelope but it seems silly next to Eleanor which is so much more classy. Nell makes me love it even more. It's such a cute nickname suitable for a little girl that would be good for any age. Nellie, not so much but it's not bad. Eleanor ages really well.

Definitely Penelope, especially if the nn will be Nell.

I prefer the name Penelope and I would prefer that to be the full name if the nn was going to be Nell or Nellie.
