No matter how hard I try to like this name, I just can't. I have no idea why. I like the sound "no-" at the beginnig of a name and the sound "-el" at the end of a name. I'm fine with two-syllable girls' names. But for some unknown reason, the name "Noelle" bothers me a lot. I guess I dislike the long vowel O followed by the short vowel E.

Noella is only better in the fact that it's different, not as popular, and has the "-uh" sound as a suffix. But I still dislike it about as much as I dislike Noelle.

I prefer Noelle to Noella - I feel like the extra -a is unnecessary and somehow takes away from its essence.

Contrary to what I just said, I really enjoy Noelani as well.

It's okay. I think it's fine for a baby born any time, although I'd only use it as a middle name for a baby born on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. I prefer Noelle.

Noelle just sounds friendly. I like it a lot. I prefer it for a non-Christmas baby.

I don't like Noella at all. I really hear "no, Ella." For whatever reason, I don't hear that with Noelle.

I really like Noelle and don't think it should be limited to winter use. Noelia is pretty but I don't care for Noella.

I think it's fine for a non-winter baby; as long as it's not a holiday- or winter-themed combo, in which it belongs in the right season. Mary Noelle would be silly outside of December, but Noelle Suzanne wouldn't seem out of place in July.
I always have liked it.

I prefer Noel, but I'm biased. I like Noelle more than Noella.

I was a spring baby, so no, I don't think the season matters that much.
