Constance was popular from the 1920s to the 1950s my Father named me in Latin it means Firm, AS A child I never liked my name, when the teacher would call out my name on the first day of school , I would'nt answer. I went by the name Connie , I didn't like , I used to tell people my name was Susie or Lady Jane or Nancy Ann, now that I am at the end of the road I love my name my father gave me! He always said my name was special, after raising six children, putting my self through college and becoming a registered Nurse for 30 years , married to my second husband for 38 years I hope I lived up to his expectations!

CONSTANCE is a nice name, but if you didn't like it, why didn't you just go by your middle name, ELLEN?
