Are they pronounced differently? If not, then the Noemi spelling just makes no sense. If so, then I still prefer Naomi.

Yes, they're pronounced differently.

Noemi is naw-E-mee.

Maybe you'd like Naima, "nah-EE-muh" ?

I don't know, it just seems like there's less chance for variation with that one.

This is the only pronunciation I'm familiar with.

I want to like it, but it sounds too much like "no Amy" to me. If it were even slightly more common I could probably shake that though- I have no such problem with Noelle
