I like the original Anneliese best and even Annelise, but the different spellings have put me off the name somewhat. Annalise makes me think of analyze, sorry.

It reminds me of a frumpy, musty old woman. She'd probably be sitting on a moss-green armchair with yellowed doilies on its arms. I don't care for it.

I imagine Annalise either short and energitic(sp?) or a blond hair tomboy... and that's mostly just basiced on two Annalise's I know... I know three but I only know two of them really well. We call one Annie and the other Anna or just Annalise.

I'm in the minority, but I don't like Annalise / Anneliese / etc. I just don't care for the way the name looks or sounds in any incarnation.I prefer just plain Anna, or Anne Elisabeth. Or, oddly, even Annalisa (an-na-LEE-sa).

I think of a very classy pretty lady. It's a beautiful name.

It sounds harsh to me, and I have a bad image because of an Anneliese I know, but I love Anna and Lise separately.
