[Opinions] Merrow?
Someone online posted Merrow as a name suggestion for someone looking for a boho-chic name. It is an Irish-English term for mermaids. What do you all think?
I have heard people suggest Minnow before, so I suppose this would be in the same vein.______________________________________________

No. It sounds like marrow, as in bone marrow.

That's what a cat says, no?

Not gonna lie, at first...Not gonna lie, at first I read "Meow." There's a chance I won't be the only one. It also reminds me of bone marrow. So no, I can't say I'm a fan.

I suggested it here on the board once and everyone said "marrow". So no.

I remember we had a post about Merrow a while back and it didn't go over well. Most people thought of marrow. The marrow thing doesn't bother me personally, but the name itself just overall doesn't hold my attention. It's just one of those generic surnames. I wouldn't want to be named Merrow -- it would be hard to explain because the word is familiar in many ways (merry, meadow, marrow, etc.), yet no one has ever heard the name Merrow itself. Different, but not memorable.

Sounds like a pissed off cat! Haha! Spell it Maro or Marro if want the sound, as for Minnow, spelling it Mino or Minno is better!
