[Opinions] Cassie
I'm really digging Cassie right now. I dislike Cassandra and I'm lukewarm on Cassia. My husband doesn't like just Cassie, while I do.Thoughts? Purely hypothetical.

I like it too. I once had a student named Cassie and not as a short form. She had a long last name so her parents didn't bother naming her Cassandra.

The only Cassie I've ever known, and she was a very old lady then, was actually a Catherine who couldn't say 'Cathy' when she was a toddler. Might that work? I'm not sure.

I knew a girl named Cassie growing up. IDK, it's an okay name, I guess. I wouldn't want it to be MY name, though, because it's a little fluffy.

For some strange reason, whenever I hear the name I pictu5re some very fat person swilling down a huge soda and then letting fly with a monstrous burp. Gassy Cassie? Somehow I don't think that's the reason.Cassidy? Catherine? Even Keziah, if desperate.

You just reminded me of someone I was in school with named Cassie. A most unpleasant person - she made a statue of the Virgin Mary with a bullet hole in the middle of her head.I think I'll knock it off the list now.

Cassie is alright, and I love Cassia. Cassandra and Cassidy are not quite there for me.

Well it's my name. I have grown to like it, though I don't love it. It's not short for anything.

I really like Cassie. Luckily, I happen to like Cassandra. However, I've known of Cassies who were just Cassie and nothing else.

This one really bugs me as a full name. I had a friend whose sister named her baby Cassie and it just bugged me. Should be a nickname. Actually I'm the opposite from you, I love Cassandra but I'm not wild about Cassie, which is why I'd probably never use Cassandra.

I used to love Cassia. Cassiopeia, Lucasta, and Jocasta are also nice.

It feels incomplete on its own, though it's cute.

I'm with your husband on this one, I can't stand the name Cassie. Sorry.

I like Cassie too, but somehow I'm with your husband about the not "just Cassie" thing. Have you considered Jocasta, Lucasta, Cassidy or Cassarah?
I'm kind of digging Jocasta these days.

It's all right, but it always seemed a little bland to me. Cassandra is a bit better. I also like Cassidy, though it doesn't jive with my usual style. It could also be a NN for Catherine.

I like Cassie but Love Cassandra due to the Heritage. If you can convince your hubby, can you just use Cassie? If your husband likes Cassandra, can you use that fuller name and simply call her as you like?
