I like Veronica. I think it sounds both pretty and solid.

I like it, though probably not enough to use on a child.

I love Veronica enough to use although I'd call her Nicki or even Nica. It took me a long time to realize that Veronica shares the same name element as Nike and that makes me love it all the more.

Veronica is a strong, no-nonsense name that is still obviously feminine. I would expect a Veronica to be professionally successful with a solid backbone - perhaps a lawyer, CEO, or Editor-in-chief.I'm rather surprised at some of the shade thrown at Veronica in this thread - I'd assumed the name was well-liked. I don't think it's any snootier a name than, say, Victoria. Or Cassandra.Perhaps it helps that my first association with the name is the detective show "Veronica Mars."

I really like this name! Many of you have said how it sounds a bit stuck up, but I quite like it, though this view may have been influenced by a wonderful person I know of with this name.

IMHO-08/15 & so-so;
mediocre, common, partly conventional, nothing fancy & felt too often heard of

Veronica makes me think of a mean girl but I don't think it sounds bad.

I like it, being a flower earns points from me. But isn't it the name of a bossy kid in some TV program? It has a hauty air to it.ETA: I'm probably thinking of Veronica Lodge from Archie Comics. She's a spoiled brat. Although the series was created decades ago, the comics are still sold at supermarket checkout stands. I've only rifled through the comics a few times yet that's the strongest association for me.Veronica Lake was an actress who played many femme fatale roles in the 1940's. Could be a good or bad association.

I picture a snobby or bratty teenaged girl. I've never liked the name.
