lol I've been thinking about these two myself, tho I prefer spelled with an Y. Today I prefer Jonas (or Yonas in my case) tho

I like Jonah better.

I like them both, but I think I prefer Jonas.

This is really difficult because I really like them equally. I would probably go with Jonas though because it's a little less popular and Jonah appears to be on the rise in popularity. However, I don't know if popularity matters to you because it doesn't always to me. :)

Jonah is more likely to become popular, IMO. So I prefer Jonas, because it has the less trendy sound. Plus, Jonas has Jonas Salk and Jonas of the classic The Giver behind it. Jonah has a guy who was swallowed by a whale. There's no comparison, ha.

Jonah sounds a bit whiney (joe-NAH...), though my husband puts a funny emphasis on Jonas and Tobias- so where I'll say JOE-nuss/JOE-niss and toe-BY-iss, he says joe-NASS and toe-BY-ass. He's the only one I've ever heard say them that way, though- I still much prefer Jonas!
