[Opinions] Caitlin
I've had Caitlin on my mind a lot lately. What do you think of this name? Can you exorcize it from Kaitlyn?

Caitlin is cute, simple, and fun. I know some nice people with this name which endears the name to me further. Several decades ago I believe names similar to Caitlin were super popular, but currently, it is ranked 609 on the most popular names list. For a girl born now, there wont be too many girls named Caitlin already in the class.

Ah, good ol' Caitlin! I do prefer the Kaitlyn spelling, because it's a lot happier. Caitlin makes me think of just your average girl, whereas Kaitlyn has a little pep in her step. I think it's the K and the Y that do it. :)

I like Caitlin on paper but IRL it's effectively Kaitlyn, Katelyn, etc. I have the same problem with Anne. I like it on paper but IRL it's contaminated wih Ann.

I can't really. I'm tired of it, though I don't dislike it when spelled Caitlin.

Yes, it seems different from Kaitlyn and Katelyn. If I don't see it spelled, it IS Caitlin, to me. If I see it spelled some other way, it becomes some other name. Some bland Kate-name.I like Caitlin okay. I do this twitch in my mind where I imagine someone with an Irish accent saying it, and it is really Cathleen... that's distracting, but not detracting. I'm not a big fan of Caitlin just because I am irritated by the way it often stops in the middle when said aloud.Caitlin vaguely makes me think of an equestrian for some reason.

I like it quite a bit. I think it's friendly and sweet and it's a cheerful yellow. I actually don't mind it spelled Caitlyn, either. I can separate it from Kaitlyn, which seems much less sophisticated. Something about that pointy K.

Truth to say I can't stand the C spelling when it comes to this name. Caitlin or caitlyn or catelyn or any other. The name itself is OK even though I have had poor experiences with it. But I much prefer spellings such as Katelyn or Kaitlyn or just some 'K' spelling.

Easily. It's anglicizated in pronunciation, but it's still a beautiful name. I love the aura projects and the sweetness of it. It's just a lovely simple name

I like it. Not a favorite, but I do like it, and better than the boring Katherine. Not as attractive or grown-up as kathleen.
I prefer Kaitlyn to Caitlin, actually. I know Caitlin is the original, but it actually looks the more kre8yv. I suppose by that reasoning, I ought to like Katelyn best, but I don't.
