What do you think of Mona?

I think there's something magical about it but I guess I don't really like how it means 'monkey' (female) in many languages and is sometimes used as an insult. Do you think it could make a comeback? It kind of fits in with Luna and Nora and similar names that are rising quickly.

Hmmmm. Maybe not quite just yet ready for a comeback, but you could use it and be ahead of the game because I can see it making future waves.

Hi !!!

I like Mona!
It is a lovely Irish name.

It is simple but with an elegant meaning.

I think it is more similar to Luna than Nora because I can see magic in it while Nora for me is simply dated.

I love the name Mona!! A lot. My husband said absolutely not because people will tease her that her name sounds like moaner in a bad Boston accent. The monkey association doesn't bother me though. I also like Ramona with Mona as a nickname.
