[Opinions] Zipporah
This name gets consistently low ratings on my PNL and I'm wondering why. It's such a lovely name to me and while it might be a bit unusual for some people I can't see why someone would strongly dislike or hate it. So I guess I'm asking, do you like Zipporah? Why or why not?http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/87410

I'm guessing its the unusualness combined with people being worried about the nickname Zippy (which I think it cute) Its a beautiful name though, and I'd use it regardless of what ratings it got if my partner agreed. It's also a shame that Séphora is so tied to the cosmetics store, because it looks much more "name-y".

Maybe it gets a low rating because zip and pour/poor/pore aren't generally considered attractive words in English. That said, it was one of my favorite names when I first heard it as a kid. I thought it sounded charismatic in an understated way, and I liked the meaning when I found that out. It's not one of my favorites anymore, but I still like it. I prefer the spelling Tzipora.

Love Zipporah! I adore the original Hebrew spelling, Tzipporah. Not sure why it gets low ratings, it's lovely!

I haven't thought about Zipporah much, but I actually think it's a pretty cool name. The sound itself gives it so much energy and life, and I'm a big fan of -ora endings. I really liked Sephora for a while, but the make up brand puts me off.

Also the French variant Séphora is awesome.
