My personal favorite spelling of the name is Katharyn, with a middle A. Second is Katharine, like Kepburn. Whether a -yn or -ine ending is used, I prefer when the name has a middle A to a middle E, though the latter is far more common.
Out of Katherine and Katheryn, though, I prefer the former, even if it is more "boring."
