I really don't know! For a long time it's had just one association for me, and since that is with a very dear friend, I'm biased. If I'd had enough sons, I'd certainly have used Keith somewhere: it sounds fine with our ln, but I think I might have kept it in the middle. Perhaps because it is dated? But that doesn't usually bother me. Once I taught a boy named Leith. He had an ordinary Afrikaans ln, and I never asked him about where Leith came from - the place, maybe, or a family name, who knows? But I liked it very much, once again perhaps because I liked its owner.
