[Opinions] Áine
Do you like Áine? I love its meaning and background. I found two pronunciations, ON-ya and AWN-ya, could you tell me which one is correct? Or are they both correct and just different accents? I love both of them. Do you know how it is perceived in Ireland? It seems to be losing popularity. Also, what do you think of Gráinne? GRAWN-ya (if I am not mistaken). It has an interesting background too.Which one would you choose?

I think it's pronounced AN-yə, though it isn't exactly an n, and then a y - the n is softened in a way it's difficult to transcribe in English. In Polish, it's written as ń. However, I'm not Irish, so I'm far from an expert. Gráinne sounds rather rough to me, and it makes me think of grandmother's baking apple pies. I think I'd go with Áine.
