I love Juliette. It's on our list. It's a very common, classic name in French. It's #18 where I live. The Juliet spelling doesn't make sense in French, and I prefer names that can travel. I also just think Juliette looks prettier.

It's a classic, pretty name. I prefer Juliet over Juliette, because the first spelling seems more mature and more English in spelling than Juliette.

I adore Juliet and prefer the Juliet spelling, however, if I had a French surname, I'd go with Juliette.

I prefer the spelling Juliette. It's also the more popular spelling right now.

I like Juliet. I prefer Juliet to Juliette. Its a little "fancy" when compared to my usual favorites but I do think its very pretty and I don't hear it much.

I don’t really like any of the Jul-names. Maybe it’s my accent, but that sound feels really ugly in my mouth. It sits in the back of my throat like a stuck grape. I’m on the fence about Juliet itself. I do appreciate a literary connection, but Juliet feels so... obvious. It’s a bit “Look how cultured I am, I’ve read Shakespeare” but it’s the one play literally everyone has read, because we were all forced to in high school. It’s too pretentious but also too mainstream, if you know what I mean. While that’s probably the draw for some people, I just kind of like names to pick a lane.Juliette is an unnecessary elaboration.

While I tend to like Jul- names, I agree with your points on this particular one. I think you hit the nail on the head here. I love the actual sound of Juliet, but I think it's a bit off for the reasons you mentioned (and I agree with you on Juliette as well - to me, it looks gorgeous if it were its own name, but unfortunately, it's not, so it feels a bit over the top).
