[Opinions] Kyler
I recently saw that a little girl with this name lives in my area.I don't like it on a boy and learning it was used on a girl was near-traumatic.What are your thoughts on Kyler, especially used for a girl?

Kyle is dreadful. Kyler is worse. Kyler on a girl is practically child abuse.

It's so ugly. There are so many nice names out there.

It definitely comes across as trendy-sounding but I actually don't mind it. If I were to come across one IRL, I wouldn't bat an eye if used on a boy but on a girl?! That leaves me absolutely horrified! (And not to mention, uncomfortable) The name absolutely doesn't belong on a girl. Too masculine

I don’t like it for either gender.

I don't like Skyler, Kyle, or Tyler, but I do like Kai and don't mind Kylie. It's not going to be one of my favs, but it sounds okay as unisex to me. If I was going to name a sibling for Kyler... Camden.

Kyler reminds me of my (male) cousin: surfer, professional rock climber, many friends, boy-next-door looks, steady girlfriend. I can’t see the name Kyler on a girl. Too masculine.

Unappealing to me, too.
I don't mind Kyle on a girl that much (though I don't like it, it doesn't make me squirm).
I don't mind Skylar on a girl (but I don't like it with the er ending).
Tyler on a girl makes me squirm a little. Because it's such a boy-dog name, to me.
Kyler on a girl ... is about the same. But I also think, Skyler without the S?
I don't like it, but it's one I'd be able to get used to, if I knew a girl/woman named Kyler.
