Not so unique. One of the nurses at my gynecologist's office is named Kari and she pronounces it the same way you do. She's maybe late forties.

I like Kari only if referred to the Old Norse name Kári.

I love the name Kari (car-ee). :) I first heard it on antm a few cycles back, I thought it was really pretty.
