Leah*
Philomena
Phoebe
Rosary (if I ever get pregnant I'm going to tell my mother-in-law I'm leaving the baby that, just for the reaction)
Sarai
Siena
Stella*
Talitha
Verity
Zelie - I've seen this in several different places. St. Zelie, mother of St. Therese, was recently canonized.
the majority of these names made me roll my eyes, either because they're not that unique (Brielle, Stella, Charlotte) or they're a complete and total stretch (Drexel, Colbie) Some are also somewhat problematic when it comes to theology, history, and/or the Bible (Urban, Merton). I do like Ambrose, Blaise, Solanus, Jerome and Phoebe. I appreciate Ignatius and Flannery. What are your thoughts on all of these? What other names do you think are very Catholic? Note: I've just been thinking about Catholic names recently, it's a few people I know are pregnant and talking about names. I'm not expecting nor do I plan to be.
