Don’t like it, sounds awfully redneck. I guess you could put it with a few middle name:Dixie Jeanne
Dixie Emilia
Dixie Elise

Not to be crude, but it sounds like Dick + sea.

I actually really like Dixie! A lot. I guess it’s kind of a guilty pleasure name for me. As for combos, what about: Dixie Jane
Dixie Louisa
Dixie Annabelle
Dixie Eva

It’s cute in theory but the US Civil War associations are just too bad.

This is bad. Like almost offensively bad. Pixie would be (slightly) better.

I don't like it at all and I'm glad it has slipped from the charts. Dixie is a horrible, ditzy, informal name. Also very flimsy. And there's no way getting around from what it sounds like. I think most us know what I'm getting at. It's a name best forgotten.

I've known two dogs named Dixie. I think it's a common pet name.

Like the confederate flag, it means many different things to many different people. Some of those things are fairly innocent nostalgia. Some of those things represent extreme, unfettered racism. And as long as it holds that meaning for anybody, it’s unacceptable for use. Plus, dixie cups and male genitalia.

Interesting! I have to look into that.

+I totally thought you meant that Dixie cups are somehow linked to male genitalia! :)
