[Facts] how to pronounce Eirik
Does anyone know with certainty how to pronounce Eirik?
I live in America, though I'm of Norwegian heritage, and I'm trying to find some Norwegian names that wouldn't sound to odd in the US.

It's pr. AY-rik. And I can't see what's "odd" about that. We are all odd to someone.I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. ~Albert Einstein

Thanks! And I didn't mean that Eirik was odd, I meant that Eirik would be a good name because it's not odd(in my opinion)... I think it would be a good Norwegian name to use in the US, I just wasn't positive about the pronounciation.

I'm Norwegian - and Eirik is a pretty common name here. It's the origin of the name Erik/ Eric. We pronounce it Ei-rikk, like you are about to say Eighteen, then Rick.
