[Opinions] Re: Calla or Acacia?
in reply to a message by Quest
I like both equally, it really depends on what mood you're going for.
I say a-KAY-sha, since that's the only way I've ever heard the tree pronounced. But a-KAY-see-a would probably fit my description too.
Calla = very smooth, polished, and proper. It's still a nature name but it's more tame and like garden-nature, like Lily and Rose. I'm picturing an impeccably groomed girl with long blond hair wearing a long dress who moves slowly and has subtle facial expressions. Reminds me of well-tended gardens and calm water and shiny, polished things. Light blue, white, and light green. Acacia = wild, gnarly, prickly, energetic, and opinionated. It's a wilder nature name. I'm picturing a young girl with scraggly brown hair, muddy clothes, runs around barefoot, and befriends random animals. For an older picture, it's someone a little less obviously "wild" but still a little disheveled, always sharp and witty. Moves quickly, is very expressive, brain is always moving.
