I actually prefer it pronounced this way. The other pronounciation is pretty too, but I prefer it like this.

I've never heard the uh-liss-see-uh version.

Alicia, sounding like uh-leesh-uh, is all right, but I prefer Alison and vastly prefer Alice.

The typical pronunciation of 'uh-leesh-ah' is fine but isn't nearly as beautiful. Also, 'uh-liss-see-uh' just has more of a friendly, approachable vibe to it. (:
