[Opinions] Aly & Cat
Hello all!Just looking for opinions on my second child’s perspective name:
Catalina Jade. First daughter is Alejandra Violet.
I feel guilty & know the feeling will pass, but I was honestly hoping for a son. :( His name was going to be Lorenzo Douglas. Maybe we can still use that, we’ll see! Anyway, we call Alejandra “Aly” for short... so would Aly & her little sister Cat sound cute or cringe? Thanks! :)

I think it would be ok, or say cat and aly

Cringe. The kind of cringe that sounds like it has to be deliberate, even if it wasn't.
Catalina is pretty, but paired with Jade it gets knocked into the tacky territory. Like Acapulco Gold or Hawaiian Red; like marijuana or a sstripper. If you had Lorenzo picked out for a boy, you could use Lauren for a girl? Or Lorena, or Laura. They all sound better with Jade than Catalina does.

It's cheesy, but they will only be spoken of in a pair for a short portion of their lives. Say Cat and Aly. There are also so many nickname options for Catalina, she may not even like being called Cat after the first few years and decide to be Catie or Lina or just Catalina. I don't think its a huge deal.

I love the full names and how they go together! They're matchy in just the right ways without being cheesy. (The nicknames together are a little cheesy, and I know someone named Aly who was called Aly-cat. But I wouldn't worry too much about it being cringey. Just don't try to force the Cat thing. Like maybe she'll go by Cate or Lina, you know?)edit: I really like Lorenzo too and I think it would go with these sister names well, but I'm not sure about Douglas. It sounds like such a dad name. I'd pick a different middle name like: Jasper, Jules, Victor, Zephyr, West, Willem, Mica, Cyan, Malachite, Hyacinth, Jacinto, Sylvan, Titus, Pyrrhus, Marcel, Jareth, Tristan, Griffin

Kate and Ally ...Was a popular 80s sitcom about two single moms, if memory serves.
