[Opinions] Freya and Cassian?
What do you think about Freya (g) and Cassian nn Cass (b)? Are they too over the top? They are the only names my husband and I have agreed on but we are open to other ideas. We're not getting great reactions from people when we mention the names. It really doesn't matter too much to us since we don't agree with family on much. We are kind of the weird ones in the family. We just don't want the names to be too strange or "yewnique" but just different in a good way. So again are these names too much? Other names we have talked about include G: Thea and Maya & B: Ezra. I'd use Ezra in a second but my husband likes it more as a middle name for Cassian. Thanks!

I think they are pretty and basically dignified and appropriate. They are historical but have modern fashionable sounds. They are a nice, offbeat but fashionable sibset. People have really strong, arbitrary opinions about names IMO. (Not projecting at all)

I think Freya is pretty mainstream now, or will be more so soon. Cassian might be a bit more out there, but it’s unique in good way (a name with a solid history) and not a bad way (some creative spelling or trendy pop culture reference). Ezra Cassian is a nice combo. If you’re not that close to your family, don’t worry about their opinions. And even if you were close, it’s your and your husband’s child, not theirs.

Freya isn't even that out there - it's Top 200 in the US and rising. Cassian is a little more, but it's appeared in a Star Wars so it's sort of on the map, and personally I really like it and would like seeing it used. Go for it!
