Which do you prefer, and why?
All three have been rolling around my mind lately and I can’t quite tease out my feelings on them.

Enid, no contest.
I find it absolutely adorable and can see it still being used today- more so then the other two.
Edith is alright, really not much to say, although I do find it kinda lispy with the 'th' sound. So not really a fan of the ending '-ith' I don't care for Edna at all. It would be my absolute last choice between them. I don't see the appeal and I find it unquestionably dated. It's very much a "senior citizen only name" to me.

Enid, hands down.
Enid is the only one of the three I actually like. It has a quirky / nerdy charm to it. And I've said it before, but it also makes me think of insects / entomology.
Edith... I can tolerate, because the nickname Edie isn't too bad. But there really are few names I like that end in -th, and Edith really isn't one of them. (I prefer Eden, but I'm not a huge fan of Eden either.)

Edna just has a really unattractive sound to it imo. It sounds very harsh and abrupt and I don’t like it.
Enid is kinda cute, though I wouldn’t use it.

Edith hands down. It feels charmingly old fashioned rather than stuffy like the other two.

Probably Enid because it seems the freshest.

Enid is a name that I like better in some accents than in others. It doesn't sound as nice in a Brooklyn accent as it does in Welsh.
Edith is okay. It is very old fashioned. Sometimes it comes across as a bit repressed, but, at other times, I'm reminded of its medieval roots and palace intrigue. If MacBeth had an extreme prim and autocratic visiting English court lady character who secretly knew everything but just sat and embroidered while judging people, it would be Edith. I sorta like it.
Edna is my least favorite. It sounds dowdy and dogeared. I do love Edna Mode's character in "The Incredibles."

I love all three, but my favorite is Enid. I'm sad that Edith is rising in popularity.

Enid is my favorite of this set, Edna feels weird to me but I do like Edana.
Edith isn't too bad. In middle school I had decided if I had a time machine and went back to the early 20th century to grow up, get married and raise children I would name the daughters Helen, Edith and Dorothy so it was apart of one of my original sib sets!

Edna!!
I looove Edna, I think it's adorable but also gutsy, and it has a hard intelligence to it that I really admire. I like that I can picture it on someone who could either bake you cupcakes or punch you in the face. I love the idea of a young Edna "Eddie". I would use Edna for real, on a person, I love it that much.
I like all of them pretty well though. Crimson Peak gave me more of an appreciation for Edith, and my friend named her cat Enid, so now I think of it as being quite adorable.
