[Opinions] Re: Atticus
I respect it in a way. Sound wise, "attic" combined with the Romanesque -us suffix makes me think of a dusty antiquarian who remembers things that others forgot long-ago but should have remembered. Atticus Finch is such a beloved character in the childhood classic "To Kill a Mockingbird" that I can see how it would be a comfortingly familiar literary reference for some people. A lot of people probably wanted the Gregory Peck adaptation of the character in their lives growing up. While I wouldn't use it myself, Atticus is a hipster throwback name that I understand the appeal of.
