[Opinions] Zipporah
What are your thoughts on Zipporah? I like it, but there don't seem to be any nicknames besides Zippy which is unfortunate. Do you know of any others?

When I was a teenager one of my friends had this name earmarked for use on a daughter, and I was SO excited by that. What a cool name! Unfortunately she grew up and gave her kids very unfortunate names (luckily we're no longer friends, so I can judge her all I want from afar).I like Zippy, but I also think Zorah or Zora could work.

It's okay. I like both of the pronunciations, the look of it is very biblical, and the meaning of "bird" is meh. I think good nicknames could be Porah, Poring, and Poray.

I want to love......but it just sounds ugly and a little tawdry when I say it aloud.

I prefer Tzipora, which looks quieter to me, but it's elegant and seems energetic.

ZIP-ə-rə is bright, fresh, and lively, but zi-PAWR-ə is spongy. Zipporah "Birdie" could work, alluding to the meaning, or Zipporah "Zora".

I like it, but it's only because I read a book with the main character named Zipporah as a kid. I also always thought it was one of the better "Biblical" names outside the standards. I think there are tons of nickname options here!
Zippy or Zippi obviously, but also Tippi. Then there is Zee, ZeeZee, Zora/Zorah, Ora, Orie, or even... Birdy / Birdie (since the meaning is "bird") !
