Definitely Sylvia, as it's my mother's name and my personal favourite out of the variants. Sylvie and Via are good nicknames. I would consider actually using this.*

Now it's definitely Sylvia, but I also like Silvia.
This all reminds me vaguely of 'Sybilla, Sibylla or Sibilla case' :)), it's when you don't know where to put the letter 'y' and whether you need it in the first place.

One of my niece's is named Sylvia, so obviously I wouldn't be able to actually use any of those names. But in a hyperthetical universe where she didn't exist, or if her name was something else entirely, I would use Sylvia, at least based on that particular list. Simply because I prefer 'Sylvie' as a nickname rather than on it's own, have never cared for the spelling of Silvia (has always looked strange to me) and as for 'Silviya...' well I'm not really familiar with it.

I like Sylvie a lot, but if I had to use one of these names, I'd go with Silvia, since it's the Spanish form.At first I disliked Silvia, Sylvia and et cetera, but I noticed its appeal and its lovely meaning recently - now Silvia is on my PNL.

I love Sylvia and Sylvie. I'd go Sylvia so I could have both as well as Via!

Hi !!!Any form of this name is elegant in my opinion. It has an airy sound and an earthy meaning. Here in Italy Silvia is common, nearly overused since 1980s. That's why in my opinion it's boring.I like Sylvia and Sylvie as well.

Sylvia; the usual English spelling. I don't like nicknames used as first names, or needlessly foreign spellings.
