I've known a few people named Amy (various spellings included). It's cute, I don't know that I'd call it classy but still useable.

It's really typical, but also really sweet. It could suit any kind of girl: a tomboy, a girly girl, one who wants to persue the arts. It's stubbornly common, but flexible. I like it.

I swear, I've never heard a name be called "limp" before..I've heard boring, bland, dated.. are you saying it can't stand upright because it lacks personality? I actually think that Amy has multiple personalities, since so many girls have the name..that's one advantage to having a brutally average moniker.
