[Opinions] Why many negative comments about Ivan are removed?
Hello, everyone. Why many people bashed the name Ivan because it's too bad at English pronunciation and it's anagram for vain. But also Why they preferred name Ivana and Vanessa

I don't know ...How do you know so many negative comments were removed?
If you posted some yourself and had them removed, well, you already asked twice about this on the Writing Room.
You really should not be so worried about which comments are removed and why; it is not important.
If people don't like a name, they don't like it and that's it and they should not be prevented from saying so. Likewise if they like a name.

this is the opinion board ...These are message boards, not chat rooms which you are probably more familiar with. This is a board for opinions about names. The Writing Room is for story ideas as well as character names.
If you want to leave post comments about names, obviously you use the Comment feature with each name.
But it really does no good to complain to us or anyone else if your comments aren't accepted or you don't like other comments.
Please read the rules/help/FAQ section of this website to learn more about how it works and what's expected of posters/commenters. Doing this and following the rules will make things much easier for you and more pleasant for everyone.

Have comments been removed? How can you tell? And most of the comments (in the User Comments section) are positive: one cites Ivan the Terrible, two mention that in English it sounds like Yvonne, this one is very negative but only relevant in Australia: "Ivan Milat is a notorious Australian serial killer, known for the so-called 'Backpacker Murders' that occurred in New South Wales during the 1990s. The name Ivan is considered unusable by many due to this association. 9/11/2009". One person said it is an anagram for 'vain' but nobody else picked that up. I'd say the general feeling was pretty good. Vanessa has got 'van' in it but it isn't related to Ivan. And if people like Ivana, which they mostly do in spite of the Trump connection, it's their choice.
