[Opinions] Darby
Do you like Darby? What seems to make Darcy so much more popular than Darby? I like Shelby too, so I think I just like the "-bee" sound ending, honestly.

I don't like it, prefer Darcy

I love Darby and like Darcy.
I think Pride and Prejudice is responsible. And the lack of famous Darbies.
Its unisex to me, but it says "male" more - despite rhyming with Barbie!

Probably because Darby sounds like Derpy, not a positive association. I knew a female Darby growing up and she never liked her name. Our classmates thought it wasn't attractive as well. I suppose because it's awkward sounding. I don't hate it but I don't necessarily like it, but I feel the same for Darcy as well.

Meh. I much prefer Deborah or Debbie.

I like "bee" names too! Shelby, Ashby, Phoebe, Ellerbee, Pharabee, and I think Bea would make a cute middle name for girls
Kirby for a boy
Darby for either and
Bixby for a cat

I like Phoebe too! Colby, Libby, Ruby, and Tabby are other ones I like too. :)

I like Darby. The only Darby I ever knew was my friend's elderly neighbor (a woman) so it has a sweet retro vibe for me, very homey and cozy and rather endearingly nosy. "Bee" names are very cute, I agree.I'm not sure why Darby isn't more popular. Maybe because it sounds very similar to the word "derby" and for whatever reason people aren't a fan of that?

Also, go for Bee. It's cute and charming, also a double strike.
